Your support is needed.Individual donations are encouraged! My original goal was to raise $19,335.60 (the height of Mount Kilimanjaro) for the Grandmothers to Grandmothers Campaign. And your amazing support and generosity fulfilled that before the end of the first year! Then Liza joined me on the climb, and now Trudy and Tina as well, and we knew that we'd have to raise that much again. At $2 per foot, we're planning to raise $38,711.20. This is a unique event where 100% of the sponsorship money donated goes directly to the Stephen Lewis Foundation to help those Grandmothers suffering through the brutality of the HIV/AIDS pandemic in Africa.
There are dozens of ways you can contribute to raising funds and awareness around HIV/AIDS in Africa and the vital work of the SLF:
Talk to your family, friends, neighbours, work colleagues, church group, clubs, associations, school and teachers about Stephen Lewis’ work and his foundation. To organize an event, please contact the Foundation. I can also come to your event and share what has moved me about the plight of Africa’s grandmothers. |
WHAT YOUR MONEY CAN DOI have been deeply influenced by the talks of Stephen Lewis and was moved to develop a call to action based on some ideas he has raised. The following are my opinions and not that of the Foundation or Stephen Lewis. Because those who have must share with those who don’t. We are all connected: what affects one person on this planet will someday have an impact on all our lives(remember 6 degrees of separation). Make this the day that you will help a grandmother in Africa.
