Here's How It Works:

Contestants will pay a $10 registration fee. You will not pay to
enter the event, but your entourage will. And, since it will be
audience voting that determines the winner, the bigger your fan
club, the better! The registration fee will go towards the cash
prize - $100 for 1st place - $50 for 2nd place. We hope to add a
nice prize package onto that as well, but we'll know more about
that as the event approaches.

The competition will start around lunch time and finish around
dinner time. Contestants will sing up to three times. This can
be the same song three times or a new one each time.
First round - Picking the Top 5 -
This is the elimination round.
All contestants will sing and the audience will vote immediately
afterwards. Advance pledges will count in this round. There is
a pledge form on the site so that you can collect those advance
pledges. It can be sent to you via email if you contact Rhonda at
rhonda.nadon@sympatico.ca
The Top 5 will be picked from the
first round based on the amount of donations.
Second round - Picking the Top 2 -
The second round is a fresh start.
The Top 5 will sing and the audience will vote immediately
afterwards to pick the Top 2.
Third round - Picking the Winner!
This again is a fresh start.
Since this is an all day event, the audience will change from
performance to performance so each performance will count! Here's
where you get to put that fan club to work for you!

you do that, we'll need some information from you:
1. How did you hear about us? We'd like to find out how our
advertising material is working.
2. We'll need a picture, preferably a digital one, so we can s
et up the voting booths.
3. We need to know what you're planning to sing, and whether
you'll be singing:
Acapella?
- With accompaniment? - If so, we'll need to know what
equipment you'll be using and we'll have to work with
our sound technician to support you.
- To a karaoke disc or tape? - We have the equipment and
our DJ has a good library. If we don't have your song,
we'll need to work with the DJ to make sure he can play
your music.
There will be a competitors' meeting close to the event so we
can explain all the logistics and make your competition experience
as rewarding as possible.
